Who We Are
Hello, I’m Peggy. Roger and I would like
to let you know a little bit about who we are so you might feel
more comfortable getting in touch and considering a home at Trillium
Creek. I grew up in Fortuna. I was saddened as I saw favorite
childhood patches of redwood forest clear cut, and so I’m excited to
be able to protect a loved patch of trees here at Trillium Creek. So far, my work
roles have been about community and service, including helping
to establish a county arts council, working with at-risk teens,
being part of the leadership for the first seven years of
a charter school in Shasta County, and now participating as case manager for Humboldt Mediation Services. I lived in Tokyo for a few
years, and had an opportunity to begin to know another culture.
Currently, I’m also working as a photographer, with the intention of honoring life with my images.
Take a look at Joy in the Morning Photography! What I’d most like you to know about me is the vision I
share with Roger of a diverse, sustainable community of neighbors
who love nature (especially the woods and stream at Trillium Creek),
act on their intentions to live well, and contribute their creativity
to the world. If this sounds like a neighborhood where you would like to live, please give us a call or write us an email. (See "Contact Us" in the menu to the upper left.)

I am Roger
and I especially love river rafting, inventing, dance, and being
married to Peggy.
I have
been designing and building passive solar custom homes in and
around Arcata for the past thirty years. About ten years ago while
working on another cohousing project, I realized that although
my design and building experience met the architectural needs
of the group, I found myself wanting better group facilitation
skills to satisfy an important need within the group for effective
communication and decision making. I began looking for ways to
learn some of those skills and I acquired extensive training in
CoActive Coaching, Nonviolent Communication, Seven Habits 4 Teens
and Parenting with Positive Discipline. For the past eight years
I have had a lot of fun facilitating various courses and workshops
and as a part time challenge course facilitator and trainer working
with groups learning to work together more effectively. See Thriving With Others.org.
As Peggy
and I bring the vision of a home and community into reality I
am excited to bring all of these experiences into the process.
